Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Forra mobile app or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Forra.
The service is provided by Michael Salah Milik Andrawos, Bienengasse 9/22, 8020 Graz, Austria ("Forra", "we", "us").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Forra account. This matches the GDPR consent age threshold under Art. 8 as implemented in Austria.
If you are under 16, do not create an account. We will delete any account we discover belongs to a person under 16, without notice.
3. The free product and the paid AI subscription
Forra's core features are free: shopping list, expense tracking, budget tracking, income tracking, recurring expense + income automation, and family-shared real-time sync. We do not impose usage limits, ads, or trackers on the free product.
Forra's AI features are a paid subscription:
- Monthly: €4.99 per month.
- Yearly: €49.99 per year (saves 16% vs monthly).
- Free trial: 7 days, charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
The subscription unlocks the AI monthly recap (with charts and PDF export) and voice input on shopping + expense surfaces.
Billing is handled by Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). To cancel, use your store account settings — Forra cannot cancel for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage subscriptions in your App Store / Play account settings.
4. EU 14-day withdrawal right
Under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you first subscribe. To exercise this right, email [email protected] from the email address on your account within 14 days and request a full refund. We will process the refund through Apple or Google.
By starting the 7-day free trial and using the AI features during it, you do not waive your 14-day withdrawal right — the 14-day window begins on the day you become a paying subscriber.
5. AI feature disclaimer
Forra's AI features (voice transcription via OpenAI Whisper + intent extraction via GPT-4o-mini + the deterministic monthly recap) are best-effort and may misclassify:
- Voice transcription accuracy depends on your speaking clarity, background noise, language, and accent.
- Intent extraction may put a "milk" item in the wrong expense category or pick the wrong date phrase from a long sentence.
- You always see the parsed result for confirmation before Forra writes it to your data.
- The monthly recap aggregates your numbers in Python with deterministic rules; it does not predict, advise, or judge.
Forra's AI features are not financial advice. You are responsible for verifying the data before relying on it for any decision.
6. Account deletion
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is irreversible and completes within 24 hours of your confirmed request. We retain only what Austrian law requires (invoice records 7 years; 30-day audit log of the deletion event). See /delete-account for the full explanation.
7. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria. The courts of Vienna are competent for any disputes that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also have the protections of the consumer-protection laws of your country of residence; this Terms clause does not deprive you of those.
8. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. The unenforceable provision will be replaced with one that achieves, as closely as possible, the original intent within the bounds of applicable law.
9. Changes to these Terms
When we materially update these Terms, we will notify you in-app and via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The current version + "Last Updated" date appears at the top of this page.
